Hire AI engineers
Engineers who have put agents into production — voice agents, language-to-SQL analytics, clinical copilots — and who measure whether they are right and what each answer costs.

What we take on in AI
Agents that take actions, not only answer
A voice agent that answers inbound calls and transfers to a person when it should; it went from kickoff in mid-March 2026 to production calls on June 9. A scouting analyst that chooses among eight tools in a loop capped at ten rounds.
Questions in plain English over your database
An agent that reads the schema, writes SQL, validates it and runs it read-only — over more than 11 million fan-communication records for a football club, and over clinical records at $0.32 a query, inside a read-only role limited to seven tables.
Documents and video into structured data
Purchase orders from customer portals into an ERP upload, with every calculation in deterministic code; walkthrough video into rack and component records, with the evidence and a confidence score for each value.
AI features inside a product you already run
About seven to nine weeks from scope to first production use. On one training-plan feature the AI roughly doubled the estimate, from 190–280 hours to 380–560, which is worth knowing before you budget.
How an AI engineer starts
- Days 1–2
A call, then a written profile of what the engineer will own: which workflow, which data, and where a person still has to approve. If an agent is the wrong answer, you hear it here — we have proposed plain automation instead.
- Days 3–14
Matching from engineers between engagements, or recruiting. Across 167 hires since 2021 the median is 28 days from opening a role to a signed offer, and we will tell you which of the two you are looking at.
- First week on the project
Agree the evaluation set before writing prompts: the questions, the right answers, and what a wrong one costs. Then run the same set across several models for quality, cost and latency before picking one.
- Every month after
Evaluation scores and cost per answer, traced per request, alongside the hours logged.
How AI engineers join a project
An AI engineer in your team
One or two engineers alongside your developers, owning the model calls, the tools the agent may use and the evaluation set. The usual shape when the product already exists.
Proof of concept on your data
One workflow on real data in two to four weeks, fixed at $2.5K–16K, with the evaluation set agreed before the first prompt. Purchase-order parsing was delivered this way in four weeks for $2,500.
Taking your prototype to production
For teams that built something that works in a demo: reliability, data handling and evaluation discipline, in a first phase of 8–12 weeks. The bands for every shape are on our agentic AI development page.
Who does the AI work, and from where
Where the team sits
More than half our engineers now sit in Latin America, with most of the rest in Eastern Europe. AI work produces questions nobody can answer in advance — is this wrong answer acceptable, may the agent touch that table — and they need someone on your side the same day. Most of the team is awake for your working day rather than the tail of it.
How people get here
There is no separate AI bench. The people who build agents here are Python and full-stack engineers who also build the product around them, hired through the same funnels — Python runs at about one hire per 219 applications. About ten of them hold Anthropic certifications. That is deliberate: an agent is a small part of a system, and most of what goes wrong with one is in the integrations, the permissions and the data.

Why ScrumLaunch?
28 days to a signed offer
The median across 167 hires since 2021, from opening a role to a signed offer — a quarter of them inside 16 days. When someone is rolling off another engagement it is days instead, and each stack page publishes its own number rather than this average.
One hire per 130 applications
What our front-end funnel actually filters, and it runs from one in 63 to one in 219 depending on the stack. We publish the ratio per stack instead of claiming a percentile, because the ratio is the thing you can check.
Three levels of quality control
A project manager on your standups, a tech lead over the architecture, and scheduled code audits — 1,699 agent runs across 11 client projects since March 2026, by the same agents that read our own code.
One month trial period
If you aren't fully satisfied, we will staff a replacement at no cost and you won't pay for the unsuccessful trial period.
